About Me

My name is Dominic Human (yes, that really is my last name!), and I am an independent celebrant living in the East Midlands. I am a qualified Independent Family and Funeral Celebrant, passing my qualification with distinction.

 

My website is predominantly focused on weddings and other family events, rather than funerals or memorials, as I believe grief is private, it is however an inevitable part of life, and I will support you every step of the way to ensure your loved one is celebrated and that their contributions in life are acknowledged.

My background is within the public sector, and for 30 years, I have worked, supported and delivered frontline services to diverse communities and individuals in crisis. In addition to being the “Human Touch Celebrant” I am also the Director of a Management consultancy and training company. I still have a great passion for these other areas of my work and enjoy supporting others to succeed in my Coach and Mentor roles. I absolutely love the training side of my other business and the positive interactions involved with those who wish to learn and grow. Through my work, I have developed a deep empathy and understanding of people’s needs, enabling me to work alongside them, to create the best ceremony for any occasion.

I became a celebrant because I am passionate about people having choice, making ceremonies personal and enabling them to incorporate individual beliefs and traditions into their special days, meaning each ceremony is, unique and meaningful.
